Sydney Brown is a transformational leader. A dissemination expert and nonprofit leader; during the pandemic, she volunteered over 2,500 hours of community service and was recently recognized as a 2022 Harold Love Award for Outstanding Community Service Award recipient (recognizing higher education students and faculty/staff across the state of Tennessee).
An advocate for advancing research and health equity, she made history as the youngest scholar/first undergraduate student to be accepted to/graduate from Satcher Health Leadership Institute, Morehouse College of Medicine (2019). She’s presented research at Xavier University Health Disparities Research Conference and Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students. She earned a Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) degree in three years from Agnes Scott College, 2021(Magna Cum Laude). She’s studied in Ghana; presented nationally at academic institutions, during KYB Leadership Academy Conferences (Costa Rica, Colombia, South Africa; Turks and Caicos Islands), and volunteers thousands of hours annually helping historically disenfranchised communities.
She will graduate in December 2022 having completed her Master’s degree in Leadership and Public Service from Lipscomb University. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Sydney enjoys life in Nashville, TN. Her hobbies include spending time with family, playing golf, hiking, international travel, and caring for her fur baby, Covey.
