Peter Cvelich

Peter Cvelich is a dual masters candidate in the MBA program at Kenan-Flagler Business School and the Department of City and Regional Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is pursuing a career in real estate and local economic development through affordable housing and urban infill development and investment in high-growth enterprises with positive impacts on low-income communities. His research with the Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise focuses on job creation and mobility of high-growth manufacturing firms in the U.S. and in North Carolina. He is also part of a team investigating the potential economic impact of converting hog waste to biogas fuel on hog farms in Eastern North Carolina. Prior to graduate school, Peter worked at RTI International in their International Development Group, assisting technical teams in economic development, public health, education, and environmental services to win new development projects in low-income countries through market research, proposal writing, and strategic communications. Peter earned his undergraduate degree in Journalism and International Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill.
