Matt Bond is a second year Master’s candidate studying City and Regional Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill, specializing in Land Use and Environmental Planning. Before pursuing his master’s, he gained experience in community-oriented planning as an employee of the North Salem Parks and Recreation department as a canoe instructor for their community summer camp.

This sparked an interest in planning for sustainability, specifically for water and energy efficiency. To prepare for sustainability, he combines his knowledge of data analysis tools like R, Excel, and ArcGIS with best-practice community-planning techniques.
