David Ball is a MBA student at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2009, David joined Peace Corps team in Nicaragua. During his service, he focused on education and entrepreneurship. Post Peace Corps, David managed the economic development portfolio for FHI 360’s USAID funded economic development project. His major accomplishment was incubating, launching, and accelerating six Nicaraguan sustainable tourism startups. Most recently, David was working with Major League Baseball in the Dominican Republic to develop a study that will evaluate the impact of MLB’s investments in education on Latin American players’ development. He is a strong believer that the key to sustainable community growth is investing in education and economic development.
