Sofia Araujo D’Elia

Sofia is a second-year student at the University of North at Carolina Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). She is pursuing a Master of City and Regional Planning, with a concentration in economic development. While originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Sofia completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in International Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida. Shortly after graduating with her bachelors, she began her graduate studies at UNC-CH. Sofia is passionate about issues related to poverty, inequality, and lack of access to opportunities.   

In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing and going on nature trail walks with her two dogs.
