Alyse is the Associate Director of Policy & Program Development for NCGrowth, an economic development center at UNC Chapel Hill. As a mission-driven individual committed to fostering equitable economic development, Alyse spearheads NCGrowth’s Anchor Institution program. In this role, she collaborates with universities, governments (at state, local, county, and tribal levels), as well as business support organizations and business owners to advocate for intentional purchasing practices that prioritize local businesses, particularly those owned by historically marginalized populations.

Before her tenure at NCGrowth, Alyse served as a research instructor in Carolina’s Public Policy Department and contributed to initiatives within North Carolina’s Division of Public Health aimed at enhancing access to healthy living opportunities. Alyse holds an MSPH in Health Policy and Management from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
