UNC Chapel Hill faculty and staff hit the road in October for the annual Tar Heel Bus Tour. With two buses covering both the east and west portions of North Carolina and with stops in 19 counties, the stops span from mountains to coast and include Whiteville in eastern North Carolina and the western North Carolina town of Canton where NCGrowth’s Stacy Guffey introduced bus tour participants to a community in the wake of a major factory closing.
