The inaugural Field Trips to the Future Cohort
sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
is composed of community leaders from across the
United States at the cutting edge of rural
community development. The primary goal of this
cohort is to infuse and strengthen the influence
of future-oriented thinking with those working
to ensure that communities and Native nations
across the rural United States are healthy
places where everyone belongs, lives with
dignity and thrives.
Thirty participants were selected from a pool of
138 nominees nationwide. “This is an amazing
group of visionary leaders that are shaping the
future of our country. I can’t wait to see how
their ability to strengthen their local
communities continues to expand with the
futurism skills and relationships they build
during this experience,” says Trista Harris,
program facilitator and President of
FutureGood.
