Economic Development: New Housing and Economic Resilience Assessment for Boone, NC

Research Survey to Support Systems for Rural Female Business Owners
This survey is led by NCGrowth Analyst Datoka Batch, who is examining rural female business owners’ demographics, who or what supports them, and in what ways they are supported. Survey is open to female businessowners 18 years of age or older who live and/or operate their business(es) in a rural county of North Carolina. The online survey takes up to 30 minutes.

from existing community-academic collaborations advancing health & well-being in Edgecombe or Robeson County. Selected teams from each county will receive funding and leadership training to implement their approaches. The call for applications closes November 1,2021 at 3pm ET.

Accelerate Rural is offering ShopRuralDay.org, a live-stream e-commerce show for NC rural brands to sell directly to consumers around the USA.
This will be limited to 250 participating companies. The live show will occur on November 11, 2021 starting at 12 noon eastern time and ending at midnight. There is no upfront cost to merchants. Our technology partners will provide no-cost shipping for participating companies in most cases.
