Reg Ledesma (she/they) is originally from Baltimore, Maryland and graduated in 2018 from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) with degrees in Economics and Asian-American Studies. During their time at UMD, they were involved with student organizing, successfully pushing for an undocumented student coordinator to serve the undocumented student body, protecting funding for ethnic studies programs, helping elect progressive candidate Marc Elrich, and creating more inclusive classroom environments for LGBTQ+ students. After graduation, they worked for the Bernie Sanders campaign, the first unionized presidential campaign, and served on the union bargaining committee, advocating for protections for immigrant campaign staffers and higher minimum wages for hourly campaign staffers. Reg is currently an incoming second year Master of Public Policy Student at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University, with a concentration in social policy.
