Casey Strange is a doctoral student in Sociology at NCSU, with a master’s degree in the same field from UNC-Greensboro. A native North Carolinian, Casey grew up just south of Winston-Salem in Davidson County. She enjoys applied research projects, like program evaluations and community resource assessments. She sees these projects as making good use of her training, and also providing some of the best insights into social problems and potential solutions. She lives in Raleigh with her husband and son, but enjoys traveling and regular visits to her in-laws in Bogota, Colombia. She is a self-proclaimed bookworm and is currently reading Malinche by Laura Esquivel.
