Hamilton Veterans Community Village is an ambitious project aimed at establishing a multi-family residential community for veterans in Eastern North Carolina. Housed in rural Hamilton, the community will fall geographically in the middle of some of the nation’s largest veteran population centers, and has the potential to double the city’s population by the date of its opening.
Unlike other projects which address the issue of veteran homelessness solely through housing solutions, Hamilton Veterans Community Village takes a multifaceted approach that incorporates housing, medical care, business services, and educational training, all on one campus. NCGrowth Analyst and Clemson PhD candidate, Samuel Wilkes, and NCGrowth Assistant Director of Business Programs, Elizabeth Basnight, are working with project founders, H. Wallace Parker, Esq. and Meriel Parker, to develop a strategic business plan to support the project’s launch.
