Carolina Wild and the land of the muscadines

[kislideshow kirotate=”false”][kislideshowslide kiimageurl=”https://ncgrowth.unc.edu/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/thomasFrere.jpg” kiyoutubeid=”ejKqq6aippo”]Thomas Frere, NCGrowth Economic Development Analyst, discusses his work with Carolina Wild.[/kislideshowslide][/kislideshow]
Carolina Wildest, Inc. (dba Carolina Wild) a muscadine juice company in Pink Hill explored new online retail channels and got a customized inventory system this spring through E-TAP. Kenan-Flagler MBA analysts, Thomas Frere and Chris Long worked with company founders Elizabeth Maxwell and Dennis Tracz. Maxwell and Tracz started producing this high end, healthy brand beverage last year and it’s currently in stores in the Northeast. They hope to transform the land that tobacco forgot into the land of the muscadine – creating new opportunities in Eastern North Carolina.

Working with Carolina Wild has been an incredibly rewarding learning experience. Dennis and Elizabeth are great people and they have an excellent, locally made product.
